Safety and Emergency Policy

Emergency Medical Response

If a student experiences an injury or urgent health issue while participating in the After School Program, and a parent or legal guardian is not immediately available, program staff may arrange for appropriate medical assistance to safeguard the student's well-being. This may involve contacting emergency services or facilitating transportation to a healthcare provider. Families will be informed as soon as possible once the situation is stabilized and communication can be made.

Personal Belongings

To help minimize the risk of misplaced or unclaimed possessions, families are encouraged to clearly label each student’s items with a full name or other identifiable information. This includes clothing, bags, water bottles, electronic devices, and any other personal property. Although staff will make reasonable efforts to assist in the recovery of labeled belongings, the After School Program does not accept responsibility for any lost or forgotten items. Any unidentified materials that are recovered will be stored temporarily in a designated lost and found area.

Students should not bring personal phones to the program unless specifically required for emergency communication. In such cases, a parent or guardian must notify program staff in advance.
